Senior Software Engineer � Automation and Robotics

 

We are a well-funded pre-IPO firm producing a cutting edge next generation medical device involving highly accurate laser based machine vision, powerful CAD/CAM software and customized high accuracy milling. This is an important hire for our company. Our team is a group of exceptionally bright and talented engineers, and you need to be a like-minded individual who wants to be part of this team working on bleeding edge R&D and the commercialization of this technology. For the right individual(s), compensation is extremely competitive and includes a substantial goal based bonus system, as well as stock options.

 

You must have:

1. Excellent C/C++ skills, with an emphasis on high performance, efficient code.
2. A four year college degree in a relevant engineering or science discipline.
3. At least five years experience in Automation or Robotics.

 

In addition you should have experience or knowledge of most of the following:

 

a. Motion control systems, especially high accuracy/repeatable coordinated motion.

b. Calibration of complex motion systems.

c. Utilization and calibration of multiple sensor types.

c. Robust whole system control, including motion, sensors, pneumatic, and fluid systems.

d. System calibration, diagnostics and robust error handling / reporting.

b. Low level communication with hardware devices via serial, digital or other interfaces.

c. Experience with sensors of various kinds.
